The phone rings while you're on a job

When you're under a furnace, driving, or asleep, the phone still rings. Homeowners with no heat usually call the next company on the list.

Industry studies of home-services businesses: CallRail (2025, 1.1M leads) reported 14% of calls missed, and Invoca reported 27% unanswered. Both are US figures.

What it does

Answers 24/7

Nights, weekends and holidays, on the calls you forward to it. Callers hear that they're speaking with an AI assistant for your company.

Books the job

It collects name, address, equipment and issue, then books an open slot from your calendar, or sends you the booking request to enter in Jobber or Housecall Pro.

Emergency triage

Gas smell or CO alarm: tell the caller to leave the home and call 911 or the gas utility first, then alert your on-call tech.
No heat: alert your on-call tech right away.
Routine: book it for business hours.

Call summaries and a monthly report

A summary after every call, plus a monthly count of calls answered, after-hours calls, emergencies routed and jobs booked.

How the free pilot works

  1. Tell us how you work by email: your services, service area, hours and on-call rules.
  2. We set up and test the receptionist with your script.
  3. You forward after-hours (or overflow) calls to it. You keep your number.
  4. After 14 days you get a report of every call it handled. Then you decide.

Pricing

Free for 14 days, no card and no contract. After that, month-to-month plans start at CA$249/month. Cancel anytime.

We don't make sales calls. Everything is set up by email.

Privacy

Calls are recorded and transcribed to book service, handle emergencies and check quality. Callers are told at the start of each call and can ask not to be recorded. We collect only what's needed to book or dispatch service: name, phone number, service address and the issue. We don't sell personal information. Our voice, AI and telephony providers may process and store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Recordings and transcripts are deleted after 30 days. We follow Alberta's PIPA and, where it applies, PIPEDA. For access, correction or questions, email hello@rivervalleydispatch.ca.
